- Client Population – Adults determined by the Department of Human Services – Adult Protective Services to be in threat of harm due to physical abuse, physical and mental disabilities, emotional abuse, neglect, self-neglect or financial exploitation.
- Licensed through the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities as a Personal Support Service Program (PSS).
- Services – Protective supervision, teaching and performing homemaking skills, household management, grocery and household shopping, cooking and nutritional instruction, and budgeting.
- Service Goals – Achieving or maintaining self-sufficiency by reducing or preventing dependency. Preventing or remedying neglect and/or abuse. Preventing institutional placement. Total clients served FY ’05 – 208 adults. Total hours of client service: 14,797.75.
- Referral Source – Tennessee Department of Human Services - Adult Protective Services, and other community agencies.
- Funding Sources – Social Services Block Grant through the Tennessee Department of Human Services, Johnson City Area United Way, United Way of Greeneville, voluntary client contributions, and local county, city, and town monies.
- Total Funding: $ 306,250.
