Nutrition Program

FTHRA's Nutrition Program provides home delivered meals and serves community meals at meal sites in eight counties of Northeast Tennessee.  We ensure nutritious and quality meals to our recipients each day.  Our chef works with a registered dietitian to create a menu that provides all the nutritients an aging senior needs to remain healthy.

We contract with Area Agency on Aging to be the provider of meals to people they determine are in need of our home delivered meals.  The recipients must be at least 60 years old or 18-59 years old and physically or mentally challenged.  The recipient must be homebound due to illness, disability or have other conditions that make them unable to prepare a meal themselves. 

EVERYONE who receives the home delivered meals is assessed by Options.  Options is a program through the Area Agency on Aging that will do an evalutation to derermine what services for which the person is eligible.  Please call 1-866-836-6678 for more infomation about eligibilty.
